Overview
We are seeking a Staff Engineer, React Web to join our Digital Engineering team and drive the technical direction of our enterprise-scale, multi-brand digital ecosystem. This role is focused on front-end architecture and engineering, with deep expertise in React, modern web application design, and enterprise-grade digital platforms.
Responsibilities- Architect and evolve React-based enterprise web applications, ensuring scalability, performance, accessibility, and observability.
- Apply modern frontend patterns: micro-frontends, component-driven architecture, state management (Redux, Zustand, Recoil), and server-side rendering (Next.js).
- Define standards for integration with backend APIs (REST/Graph
QL) and real-time event-driven services. - Establish and enforce responsive design, accessibility (WCAG 2.1), and internationalization best practices.
- Optimize edge delivery and caching strategies (Cloudflare or other CDNs) for global performance.
- Ensure secure and seamless integration with identity management solutions (Auth0, Azure AD B2C).
- Explore and guide the integration of GenAI-driven capabilities in web applications, such as personalization, conversational UI, and intelligent search.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership for CI/CD pipelines using Git Hub Actions or Azure Dev Ops, with automated quality gates.
- Champion automation-first practices in frontend engineering: testing (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress/Playwright), performance validation, and observability.
- Drive adoption of developer productivity tools such as Git Hub Copilot or similar AI-assisted coding solutions.
- Establish coding standards, design system adoption, and code review practices across geo-distributed teams.
- Partner with backend architects and product managers to align on end-to-end application architecture, technical roadmap, and release strategies.
- Facilitate design reviews, proof-of-concept initiatives, and technical workshops.
- Influence decision-making across global teams to balance speed with platform sustainability.
- Partner with product, design, and data teams to identify GenAI use cases and integrate them into customer-facing web features.
- Mentor engineers in frontend engineering best practices, React ecosystem, design system adoption, and web performance optimization.
- Promote a culture of quality-first, automation-first, and innovation-driven engineering.
- Enable teams to design resilient, maintainable, and scalable web experiences that abstract vendor dependencies.
- 4 YEAR DEGREE AND/OR BACHELOR'S DEGREE IN COMPUTER SCIENCE OR RELATED FIELD
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, with 3+ years in a Staff/Principal/Lead role.
- Proven track record of delivering enterprise-scale, React-based web applications with global reach.
- Strong hands-on expertise in:
- React, Next.js, Type Script, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3 (SASS, Tailwind, CSS-in-JS).
- State management libraries (Redux, Zustand, Recoil, or equivalent).
- Frontend performance optimization and Core Web Vitals.
- Experience integrating frontend applications with backend APIs (REST/Graph
QL). - Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git Hub Actions, testing frameworks, and automation practices.
- Experience with Git Hub Copilot or similar AI coding assistants for productivity.
- Experience working in agile environments with geo-distributed teams.
- Understanding of secure authentication and customer identity management (Auth0, Azure AD B2C).
- Exposure to Generative AI (LLMs, embeddings, AI-driven personalization, conversational UIs).
- Experience with multi-tenant or multi-brand digital platforms.
- Familiarity with design systems (Storybook, Material UI, or similar).
- Experience with observability platforms (Datadog, Application Insights, Grafana, Prometheus).
- Strong ability to communicate technical trade-offs to executives and engineers.
- Awareness of responsible AI practices (cost, bias mitigation, governance).
