We are seeking a Software Quality Assurance Engineer who will have experience in software testing for front end and backend solutions and basic SQL Server database programming knowledge (SQL).

The Software QA Engineer is expected to work in Agile team sized (5-7) on projects which run from 5-10 months in duration.

Responsibilities

Make an impact

• Perform software testing work on applications
• Participate in requirements gathering, system analysis
• Review software design documentation and low-level design specifications
• Complete assignments on-time and with quality
• Participate in production support efforts
• Liaise with members of other teams both internal and external to Swisslog
• Occasional site visits and/or after-hours support may be required.

Application Requirements

What you need to succeed Essential:

• Software Engineering, Computer Science, or an equivalent Engineering degree if no applicable work experience.
• 5 years experience with testing Web based applications
• Client Server environments
• Experience with source / revision control systems such as SVN, GIT
• Be able to test software in accordance with design requirements
• Basic SQL knowledge
• Practical experience in:
• OO Concepts & Design
• Java architectures
• JAVA SE

Desirable

• Experience with Docker
• Experience with some sort of scripting language (Bash/Powershell/Python)
• Experience with Linux
• Database training, Java training / certifications
• Automated test tool experience
• Oracle, SQL
• Scripting Languages
• Automated test tools and testing frameworks such as Selenium
• Experience with various message formats: XML, HTTP
• Experience with Java/J2EE application server environments such as Wildfly/Web Logic
