Cloud Engineer - Software, Software Engineer
This Staff Engineer will join our partner to play a pivotal role in the early creation and scaling of a Fin Tech / eCommerce platform developed in partnership with the federal government. This is a rare opportunity to join at an early stage and have a direct impact on a high-visibility product. The role sits at the intersection of technical architecture, hands-on engineering, and strategic influence, working closely with product, leadership, and external stakeholders.
This person will play a critical role in designing scalable systems while remaining deeply hands-on. Initially, the focus is evenly split between architecture and development, with a natural transition into technical leadership as the team grows and the Atlanta office launches.
* This role will be fully remote prior to the Atlanta office launch. Once the office is operational, the expectation will be onsite presence approximately 3–4 times per month.*
REQUIREMENTS:
- 7+ years of professional full-stack software engineering experience in an enterprise environment
- Strong production experience with Python/Django, Type Script, and Golang
- Experience designing scalable, cloud-based systems in Azure
- Experience owning architectural design of platforms, applications, or core systems
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
PREFERRED SKILLSET:
- Healthcare or fintech domain experience
- Net Suite integrations or ERP exposure
- Experience mentoring engineers and influencing technical direction
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead architectural design and technical decision-making for core platforms
- Contribute hands-on code across backend and frontend services
- Partner with product and leadership to align technical solutions with business goals
- Establish engineering best practices and scalable patterns
- Mentor engineers and gradually take on greater technical leadership
