Overview
THE POSITION Our roster has an opening with your name on it. We're growing our Trader Automation Engineering team that works on software pricing betting markets for major US sports. The team collaborates with stakeholders across the organization to build trader automation tooling and identify opportunities for technical innovation within Risk and Trading. You will be part of Fan Duel’s Trading Solutions team, working in a cross‑functional agile environment to deliver high-quality software with ownership of testing, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
You will work directly with quantitative analysts and sports platform engineering teams to improve the user experience of our trading teams, and you may identify opportunities in the trader automation space to innovate through technology. The company may require other duties as assigned to meet evolving business needs.

We are looking for engineers who actively engage in technical discussions, assist in designing and implementing solutions, and deliver constant improvements to our systems. THE STATS What we’re looking for in our next teammate
- Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering or related discipline
- 3 or more years of industry experience in an engineering field
- Proficient in building services with a modern OOP language (C# experience is required)
- Fundamental understanding of data structures and algorithms
- Experience with CI/CD tooling (Build Kite and Git Hub Actions knowledge is beneficial)
- Experience with cloud-based infrastructure and technologies
- Knowledge of infrastructure as code (Terraform and Helm is nice to have)
- Experience interacting with and designing relational databases
- Experience with streaming technologies (Kafka is preferable)
- Ability to document code, research, and designs clearly
- Proficiency in translating requirements into design and developing applications
- Understanding of containers (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
- Experience with unit testing and integrating testing into SDLC
- Experience working in an Agile environment
