Sr Software Developer

Overview

We are seeking a full-time senior software developer to work with one of our existing development teams. On this team, we are accountable for the full range of activities required to deliver high quality, enterprise-ready software. These activities range from understanding the overall business and project requirements, building the software, testing it, delivering it, and supporting it. We expect developers to take ownership of the end result in order to be proud of achieving success.

Our mission on this team is to create the best software for the payments processing and fundraising market. Software developers on our team are expected to be fast learners who will quickly grasp the inner workings of our enterprise software products and their integrations with other teams’ systems. Quality and consistency of code is very important on this team. Candidates must be eager to write clean, elegant code, and adopt coding styles, practices, and patterns to match existing code bases.

• Provides input to project plans by supplying accurate time estimates
• Documents and demonstrates solutions using flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, and code comments
• Performs analysis of current programs including performance, diagnosis and troubleshooting of problems
• Updates job knowledge by studying modern development tools and techniques, and participates in educational opportunities
• Participates in code reviews, freely giving and receiving constructive feedback
• Follows established Agile development methodologies
• Engages in escalated technical support as required

• Bachelor’s degree, or higher, in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent experience
• 6+ years of software engineering experience with advanced knowledge of C#, ASP.NET Web Forms, and ASP.NET Core MVC Framework
• Experience with the following tools/technologies: .NET, LINQ, HTML, CSS, jQuery, Bootstrap, Web Services, Git, Azure, SQL Server
• Solid understanding of relational database design concepts
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills, proven ability in determining the root cause of problems
• Must be comfortable working in a team environment as well as independently, and possess a sense of accountability and urgency in completing assignments
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
• Ability to mentor other developers

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with advanced knowledge of C#, ASP.NET Web Forms, and ASP.NET Core MVC Framework
• Experience working with and developing Payment Processing solutions

• Skills / Knowledge - Having wide-ranging experience, uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues
• Job Complexity - Works on complex issues requiring in-depth evaluation of variable factors
• Supervision - Determines methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinate activities of other personnel

$125,000 - $135,000
