Job Description This position will be responsible for the analysis, design, testing, development and maintenance of best-in-class software experiences. The candidate is self-motivated, collaborates with a team and across the organization, ensures software artifacts meet U.S. Bank standards to minimize impact to the customer experience, and is adept with the agile software development lifecycle and Dev Ops principles.

• Responsible for designing, developing, testing, operating and maintaining products
• Takes full stack ownership by consistently writing production-ready and testable code
• Creates optimal designs adhering to architectural best practices; considers scalability, reliability and performance of systems when defining technical designs
• Performs analysis on failures, proposes design changes, and encourages operational improvements
• Makes sound design and coding decisions with the customer experience in mind
• Accepts feedback from code reviews and applies changes to meet standards
• Conducts code reviews to provide guidance on engineering best practices and compliance with development procedures
• Accountable for ensuring all aspects of product development follow compliance and security best practices
• Demonstrates a focus on software reliability engineering standards embedded into development standards
• Embraces emerging technology opportunities and contributes to best practices in support of the bank’s technology transformation
• Contributes to a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement
• Reviews tasks critically and ensures they are prioritized and sized for incremental delivery; anticipates blockers and communicates delays before escalation

• Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
• Five to six years of relevant experience

• Expert-level hands-on experience in JavaScript / Type Script / React
• Expert-level hands-on experience in Node.js for backend development
• Experience with REST/Graph
  
  QL APIs;
  React and Shopify Polaris for UI development;
  React.js core principles
• Hands-on experience with PHP (7.x/8.x+) and Word Press, including custom theme and plugin development, performance optimization, and troubleshooting
• Hands-on experience building shopping cart payment plugins or integrations is a plus
• Experience in cloud-native development in Azure, AWS or GCP is preferred
• Experience in streaming technologies like Apache Kafka, Spark is preferred
• Experience with RDBMS such as Postgre
  
  SQL and/or MS SQL

  SQL databases like Cassandra, MongoDB
• Prior experience with data structure libraries (e.g., Immutable.js)
• Experience with Jenkins/Cloud Bees, Apigee, Kubernetes, Rancher
• Understanding of feature scope, impacted users, flows, and purpose
• Adept with agile software development lifecycle and Dev Ops principles
• Ability to communicate processes and results with all parties involved in the product team
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.
