Software Engineer, Full Stack Developer
ANTICIPATED DURATION:
From 02/23/2026 to 08/20/2027
Responsibilities:- Continue the development of existing products for the consumer weather space
- Deliver new and innovative mobile products
- Participate in Agile team processes and reviews
- Evaluate effort and provide alternative solutions
- Identify performance bottlenecks and define solutions
- Correct defects in the existing product
- Implement new features and improvements
- Create efficient, performant algorithms
- Collaborate with QA to ensure well-tested applications
- Raise issues proactively during development
- BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering preferred
- 5+ years of general programming experience
- 1-2 years of Android development experience
- Proficient in Kotlin
- Experienced with Git and Git Hub
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and JSON
- Experience with Jetpack Compose UI development
- Skilled with Android debugging tools, including Layout Inspector and ADB
- Experience with Gradle build system
- Knowledge of local data storage using ROOM and Preferences
- Experience with background processing using Work Manager
- Proficient with Coroutines for asynchronous programming
- Experience with unit testing and test-driven development
- Understanding of Android memory management and optimization
- Familiar with implementing and consuming REST APIs
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively
- Experience with AI tools such as Gemini, Cline, Claude, or Cursor
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools
- Understanding of mobile development challenges including battery, radio, CPU, GPU, and memory constraints
The hourly pay rate range for this position is $60 to $75.00 (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location). Benefits available to full-time employees: medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401k and commuter benefits.
