Senior Software Engineer

This is a highly skilled Kotlin Engineer focused on building internal tooling, frameworks and platforms to be utilized by other Developers and Test Engineers.

We are hiring a senior Kotlin engineer to build and evolve an internal automation platform that supports mobile client applications at scale.

This role focuses on designing, maintaining, and improving a Kotlin‑based platform that automates testing across real devices and environments. The platform directly influences release confidence and engineering velocity.

This is a hands‑on engineering role with technical ownership and architectural responsibility.

• Design and evolve a Kotlin‑based automation platform
• Build reusable libraries, abstractions, and tooling
• Improve platform reliability, scalability, and maintainability
• Reduce system instability and automation flakiness
• Own code quality, architecture, and technical standards
• Mentor engineers contributing to the platform
• Partner with engineering leads on platform strategy
• Use AI‑assisted development tools responsibly in daily work

• Kotlin as the primary development language
• Appium as the device execution layer
• Shared monorepo supporting multiple applications
• Real device execution in an on‑prem device lab
• CI‑driven automation runs and nightly regressions
• Distributed client and backend service architecture

• Strong software architecture and design fundamentals
• Experience building or owning shared platforms or frameworks
• Hands‑on experience with mobile or client automation systems
• Experience working with real devices or device farms
• Strong debugging and root‑cause analysis skills
• Ability to work autonomously and drive outcomes
• Clear technical communication skills
• Comfort mentoring engineers without formal people management
• Actively uses AI tools in development workflows
• Reviews and refines AI‑generated code
• Understands maintainability and long‑term code health
