Make your mark at one of the biggest names in payments. We’re looking for a Senior Engineering Team Lead – Transaction Monitoring to join our ever‑evolving Payrix for Platforms Transactions Monitoring team and help us unleash the potential of every business.
Senior Engineering Team Lead, Transaction Monitoring Responsibilities- Own the architecture, delivery, and technical strategy for scalable Transaction Monitoring services, APIs, and UI components.
- Lead the development of high‑throughput real‑time and batch processing capabilities for fraud and AML detection.
- Lead and develop a globally distributed engineering team, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and resource planning.
- Manage a budget and optimize cloud and operational costs.
- Partner with Product, Compliance, Risk, and Data Science to define and deliver roadmap priorities.
- Oversee the full SDLC and ensure strong engineering practices including CI/CD, secure coding, automated testing, and operational excellence.
- Own Change Advisory Board responsibilities, representing team changes for review and approval.
- Lead resolution of critical production issues and drive root‑cause prevention across the platform.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 12+ years of software engineering experience.
- 5+ years of direct engineering leadership experience.
- Strong proficiency in Node.js, Type Script, Angular and/or React.
- Strong proficiency in PHP and C#.
- Cloud‑native engineering experience with AWS, including serverless, Docker/Kubernetes, and API Gateway.
- Experience with event‑driven architectures (SNS, SQS, Active
MQ, etc.) and distributed systems. - Strong understanding of Dev Ops practices, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, Git workflows, and infrastructure automation.
- Experience working within Agile frameworks and using Jira.
- Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience building Transaction Monitoring, AML, fraud, or risk systems.
- Background in Fin Tech, financial services, or payments.
- Experience integrating rules engines or ML models into detection workflows.
- Relevant professional certifications related to cloud, security, engineering, or Agile leadership.
Full‑time position. Good faith estimated annual salary range upon hire is $–$. The actual starting salary will be determined by the candidate’s experience, job‑related skills, and relevant education or training.
