.NET Developer (Contract) – Hybrid (MVC, Classic ASP)
Location: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid – 3 days onsite: Mon/Wed/Fri)
Compensation: $100,000 – $110,000 annualized (equivalent contract)
Summary
The Contract .NET Developer is a hands‑on contributor responsible for the development, enhancement, and support of critical web‑based .NET applications that drive core business operations. This role focuses on executing against defined requirements within an established architecture, with an emphasis on maintaining application stability and delivering enhancements tied to business needs.
This position plays a key role in supporting order management systems directly impacting company revenue, while also contributing to a MongoDB to Oracle (JSON datastore) migration effort

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, debug, implement, and maintain .NET / C# applications based on provided requirements
- Support and enhance existing ASP.NET MVC and Classic ASP applications
- Perform bug fixes, code updates, and minor feature enhancements in production systems
- Contribute to application updates required for MongoDB → Oracle migration compatibility
- Develop and consume REST/SOAP web services and APIs
- Write clean, maintainable, and performant code following established development standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across development, QA, and production environments
- Participate in unit testing, system testing, and defect resolution
- Work with Business Analysts and technical leads to clarify requirements
- Follow SDLC processes, coding standards, and deployment procedures
- Use version control and CI/CD tools (Azure Dev Ops) to manage code changes
- Provide timely updates on progress, risks, and blockers

Required Qualifications
- Strong hands‑on experience with .NET, C#, and MVC frameworks
- Experience supporting and enhancing web‑based applications in production environments
- Working knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs and web services
- Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases (Oracle, MySQL, etc.)
- Exposure to Classic ASP (ability to make minor updates as needed)
- Experience using version control systems (Git, TFS, or similar)
- Familiarity with HTTP/S, TCP/IP, and web application architecture
- Ability to quickly ramp up on existing/legacy codebases
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
Preferred Qualifications
- ~5+ years of application development experience (flexible for strong candidates)
- Experience supporting large‑scale transactional or order‑processing systems
- Exposure to MongoDB and/or Oracle JSON/datastore concepts
- Familiarity with Azure Dev Ops pipelines
- Experience with XML, XSL/XSLT
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments
- Experience with Python (nice‑to‑have)
