Backend Developer, SQL Developer
SQL & C Developer (Lead II - Software Engineering)
Position to build and maintain backend systems and services supporting healthcare applications, ensuring high performance, security, and data integrity.
Responsibilities- Develop and maintain applications and services using C and .NET framework (.NET Core/.NET 6+ preferred).
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and functions.
- Design, implement, and support relational database structures (SQL Server or similar).
- Collaborate with QA, Business Analysts, and Product Managers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Work on integration of external healthcare systems, APIs, and data feeds (e.g., HL7, FHIR, EDI 27x).
- Ensure application security, performance, and compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare regulations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software bugs, performance issues, and production incidents.
- Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and deployment planning.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of hands‑on experience in C/.NET development.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL).
- Experience working in the healthcare domain, including familiarity with claims, eligibility, or EHR/EMR systems.
- Understanding of data security and regulatory compliance (e.g., HIPAA).
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
- Preferred:
Experience with HL7, FHIR, or HIPAA 27x EDI transactions. - Knowledge of Entity Framework, LINQ, and RESTful API development.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and CI/CD tools.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience with data transformation or ETL pipelines.

Range: $82,000‑$123,000
