Public Sector Tech Consultant — AI-Driven Appian Solutions

Our Customer Success team delivers mission‑critical business impact fast, partnering with customers to bring their best ideas to life. The Technical Consultant role supports digital transformation on the Appian platform, driving AI‑powered solutions.

• Engage with customers post‑sales to develop software solutions on the Appian platform.
• Work throughout the entire project life‑cycle: define, design, develop, and implement custom software and AI solutions.
• Understand client business processes and technical needs within an agile environment.
• Launch relational data models in production and develop APIs to integrate with multiple systems.
• Brainstorm AI use cases and implement Appian’s AI tools (RAG, agentic workflows, prompt engineering, generative models).
• Collaborate with client technical teams and business users, driving adoption and empowering clients to become self‑sufficient.

• Ability to work with clients to define business processes and gather functional and technical system requirements.
• Excellent communication skills, passion for technology, continuous learning, and affinity for asking “why” and solving the right problems.
• Experience on cross‑functional teams, building products using agile methodologies.
• Basic understanding of object oriented programming, relational databases, data modeling, and SQL.
• Knowledge of software testing practices and integrations using APIs (REST, SOAP, JDBC, web services).
• Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Analytics, Machine Learning, Google Cloud, Application Integration, Database, Developer Tools, Management & Governance, and Elastic Containers (preferred).
• US Citizenship required; public sector roles only for U.S. citizens.
• 1+ years of experience with hands‑on software development or technical consulting.
• B.S./B.A. in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics or related field/degree.
• Willingness to travel; 10% or less annually.

The base salary for this role is between $75,000‑$125,000 per year. A discretionary bonus may be awarded in recognition of individual and company performance.
