• Liaise with the Cybersecurity Team to ensure that security and quality assurance best practices are followed throughout the entire software development life cycle.
• Utilize industry standards and best practices to create and validate secured software architectures.
• Design usage of standard protocols within our products, supporting intended functionality.
• Document and review protocol decisions, including coding proofs of concept and assessment code, and provide training and support for developers.
• Oversee the adoption of best‑in‑class software engineering practices, frameworks, and tools.
• Provide guidance and feedback to other software developers.
• Coordinate with the development team to ensure the infrastructure is in place and meets project needs.
• Guide the design of gateway application solutions, interfaces, and protocols within the broader application ecosystem.
• Plan technical architecture analysis and design for projects, architect integration across application teams and infrastructure, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
• Work closely with product managers, marketing managers, and software developers to provide guidance and recommendations regarding the design of applications, hardware, network products, and security requirements using approved integration methods.
• Collaborate with end users, customers, system integrators, and regional marketing leaders to understand goals and pain points, translate them into requirements, and develop products using machine learning, data visualizations, and decision support systems.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, related engineering disciplines, or a closely related field.
• 5+ years of related experience required.
• 3+ years of experience with Light Engine Algorithm;
  Common API (CAPI definition); end‑to‑end system architecture, product interfaces, and software design; JSON‑based object modeling for product interface;
  Lighting Gateway architecture of connected lighting; wireless and wired communication protocols for connected lighting, including proprietary protocols or proprietary extensions of standard protocols, Zig Bee, DALI, ebus, RESTful APIs, Web Socket, MQTT, LightLEEDer, DMX, KiNet; cyber security standards, algorithms, code signing, and tools;
  Yocto Project‑based build system with ownership of meta‑OEM layer.
