- Responsibilities and qualifications reflect standard IT developer duties focused on ETL and MDM in banking/financial services environments.
- Includes collaboration with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions, design and maintain data structures, ETL processes, and data warehousing strategies.
- Ensures solutions align with IT strategies and architectural standards; follows SDLC processes.
- Works closely with more experienced developers and production Database Administrators to ensure scalable, efficient, and optimized solutions; collaborates with customers, management, business analysts, and team members to understand requirements.
- Designs, develops, maintains and improves data structures, queries, reporting solutions, ETL processes and data warehousing strategies for mission-critical projects.
- Collaborates with team members on daily deliverables and personal development in the Developer role.
- Participates in systems and data analysis, design, development, integration, enhancement activities, and maintenance/support.
- Assists in project scope development and may serve as a project point of contact when necessary.
- Participates in project-planning sessions with customers and analysts to analyze requirements and provide design recommendations.
- Conducts unit tests; provides ongoing maintenance of web applications and client/server applications as applicable.
- Assists with production support issue management and with development of integration solutions and major enhancements.
- Modifies existing software per technical specifications and standards; reviews efforts for compliance.
- Follows SDLC and contributes to reusable components and cross-functional guidelines.
- Translates requirements into cross-functional systems with custom integration solutions and major enhancements.
- Provides application support during regular and after-hours as needed.
- Stays informed of industry trends, tools and languages relevant to the role; maintains current skills.
- All team members are aware of risk within their functional area and comply with policies, procedures, laws, regulations and risk limits.
- Performs other related duties as required and understands the general nature of the work performed in this classification.
- Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), MCDBA, CDMP or BI designation; knowledge of data modelling, MySQL and Oracle; scripting languages such as C# and - Experience with System DB and banking/financial services domain is a plus.
