Principal Frontend Engineer

We are seeking a Principal Front-End Engineer to lead the evolution of a large-scale enterprise web platform supporting multiple consumer-facing digital experiences. This role serves as the technical authority for front-end architecture, React and Next.js development, web performance, accessibility, SEO, and digital experience initiatives. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on technical leader who thrives in fast‑paced environments and enjoys collaborating across Product, Design, Architecture, and Engineering teams to deliver highly scalable, high‑performing web solutions.

• Serve as the subject matter expert for front-end architecture and modern web development.
• Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise‑grade web applications.
• Evaluate the technical feasibility of new features, user experiences, and platform enhancements.
• Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to define technical roadmaps and delivery strategies.
• Mentor engineers and promote engineering excellence across teams.
• Research emerging technologies and recommend solutions that improve platform capabilities and developer productivity.
• Design and develop highly performant, scalable web applications using React, Next.js, Type Script, and modern front-end technologies.
• Build reusable component libraries and contribute to design system initiatives.
• Implement responsive, accessible, and SEO‑optimized user experiences.
• Collaborate with backend teams integrating REST and GraphQL services.
• Support experimentation, feature flagging, personalization, and A/B testing initiatives.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and drive root‑cause resolution.
• Contribute to cloud‑native architecture discussions and long‑term platform strategy.
• Champion web performance, security, accessibility, and maintainability standards.
• Participate in CI/CD processes and release management activities.
• Ensure solutions meet reliability, scalability, and operational excellence standards.
• Support monitoring, observability, and incident response efforts when necessary.

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience building production applications with React.
• Experience leading large‑scale front‑end initiatives and influencing technical direction.
• Experience working within Agile development environments.
• Expert‑level Tailwind CSS and modern styling methodologies.
• Strong experience with Type Script.
• Strong experience with Node.js‑based application development.
• Extensive experience consuming REST APIs.
• Experience integrating GraphQL services.
• Deep understanding of web performance optimization techniques.
• Strong understanding of technical SEO best practices.
• Experience implementing authentication and identity solutions.
• Experience with feature flagging and experimentation platforms.
• Strong knowledge of Git‑based development workflows.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
