DOR Developer 1 (SQL/.NET)

We are seeking a Developer 1 to join a software development team supporting enterprise tax applications. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent undergraduate graduate with foundational experience in  and SQL who is looking to build a career in application development.

Note:

· DOR will conduct a background check on all candidates considered for the position. Individuals must be compliant with Georgia tax obligations.

· Individuals having any overdue and unpaid taxes, or any felony convictions (no matter how long ago) will not be offered the position or hired.

· All employees will be fingerprinted.

• Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain software applications.
• Research and analyze application and system issues.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Support configuration and maintenance of enterprise COTS applications.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation.
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, and business stakeholders.
• Participate in software testing and deployment activities.
• Follow secure coding standards and development best practices.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
• Approximately 1 year of experience with any  programming language.
• Working knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Demonstrated resilience and willingness to learn new technologies.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder.
• Must be a local Metro Atlanta candidate or willing to relocate for the duration of the contract.

• Experience working within a software development organization.
• Exposure to enterprise applications or Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) software.
• Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices.
