Position Overview

Vice President, SAP – lead the SAP organization across the full lifecycle, including active transformation projects, ongoing enhancement work, and production support. This senior, highly visible role requires a pragmatic, hands‑on technology leader who has personally been in the trenches of SAP‑led transformations and now leads the teams that deliver them.

The successful candidate is a true SAP expert with deep S/4

HANA experience who can set technical direction, make sound architecture and delivery decisions, and roll up their sleeves alongside the team. This is not a role for a theorist – we are looking for an operator who has implemented SAP, knows where transformations succeed and fail, and can lead with credibility earned through hands‑on experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the SAP team across all modes of work: greenfield/brownfield transformation projects, enhancement and continuous‑improvement work, and day‑to‑day production support.
  • Own the SAP application landscape end to end, including SAP Commerce Cloud, S/4

    HANA, Success Factors, and Concur.
  • Provide leadership and oversight for adjacent non‑SAP applications integral to the ecosystem, including Apex, Coupa, and Vertex.
  • Set technical and delivery direction for SAP‑led transformation initiatives – scope, design decisions, sequencing, risk management, and quality of delivery.
  • Balance delivery of new capability against the stability and reliability of the existing landscape, ensuring support and enhancement work is not crowded out by project demands.
  • Build, develop, and retain a high‑performing SAP team across functional, technical, and delivery disciplines; coach toward a hands‑on, accountable, outcome‑driven culture.
  • Establish pragmatic governance, standards, and ways of working that fit the pace of the business rather than slowing it down.
  • Legacy Application teams – coordinating coexistence, data, and migration across the legacy estate.
  • Integration teams – ensuring clean, reliable interfaces between SAP, non‑SAP applications, and external systems.
  • Organizational Change Management (OCM) teams – aligning solution design with adoption, training, and readiness.
  • Business Performance teams – connecting SAP capabilities to measurable business outcomes.
Qualifications
  • 15+ years of experience in SAP, spanning both senior leadership roles and hands‑on delivery roles – you have led teams and have personally done the work.
  • Demonstrated success implementing SAP through SAP‑led transformations, ideally across multiple full lifecycle programs.
  • Hands‑on S/4

HANA experience is required; experience in the building products industry (or closely adjacent manufacturing/distribution sectors) is strongly preferred.
  • Track record leading teams that simultaneously deliver projects, enhancements, and support.
  • Experience overseeing a broad application portfolio that includes SAP Commerce Cloud, Success Factors, and Concur, plus integrated non‑SAP applications (e.g., Coupa, Vertex, Apex).
Education / Experience
  • Pragmatic, hands‑on leader – comfortable diving into the detail and making decisions, not just directing from a distance.
  • Strong technical credibility that earns the trust of engineers, architects, and functional experts.
  • Proven ability to work across organizational boundaries and lead through influence with legacy, integration, OCM, and business partners.
  • Clear communicator who can translate between technical teams and business stakeholders, including at the executive level.
What CRH Offers You
  • Highly competitive base pay
  • Comprehensive medical, dental and disability benefits programs
  • Group retirement savings program
  • Health and wellness programs
  • An inclusive culture that values opportunity for growth, development, and internal promotion
