This position is an early‑career role focused on the full HR Analytics data engineering vertical, from ingestion through to Microsoft Fabric semantic layer and Power BI visualizations.
Responsibilities- Execute assigned components of solution designs, delivering production‑grade code under senior engineer guidance.
- Land source data into the team's unified ingestion framework following defined patterns.
- Implement assigned data models and transformation logic in Snowflake (including Iceberg tables) and Databricks (Delta Lake, Unity Catalog) according to specifications.
- Apply medallion architecture (bronze, silver, gold) and team engineering standards to all work, including naming conventions, documentation, and code reviews.
- Build semantic layer components in Microsoft Fabric (Fabric IQ, One Lake) as specified.
- Create Power BI visualizations and reports following design specifications and BI standards.
- Implement unit tests, data quality checks, and reconciliation for assigned work.
- Graduation Year: 2024, 2025, or 2026
- GPA: 3.5 or higher
- 1+ year of related work experience or equivalent internship/bootcamp/project experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Working proficiency in SQL and Python.
- Exposure to Spark (PySpark or Spark SQL) or strong willingness and demonstrated ability to learn quickly.
- Exposure to cloud data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, or comparable systems.
- Familiarity with at least one BI tool (Power BI preferred, Tableau or similar acceptable).
- Understanding of fundamental data engineering concepts: data modeling, ETL/ELT, data quality, source‑to‑target mapping.
- Familiarity with Git, code review practices, and basic CI/CD concepts.
- Strong communication skills, problem‑solving instincts, curiosity, and discipline to deliver high‑standard work.
- Eagerness to learn the full vertical and take on broader ownership over time.
- Hands‑on coursework, internship, or project experience with Databricks (Delta Lake) or Snowflake at any scale.
- Hands‑on coursework, internship, or project experience with Microsoft Fabric, One Lake, or Power BI.
- Exposure to Iceberg tables or other modern open table formats.
- Experience with HR data domains such as talent acquisition, workforce analytics, compensation, learning, performance, or people analytics.
- Familiarity with Workday, Service Now HR, or comparable HR systems of record.
- Exposure to streaming technologies (Kafka, Azure Event Hub, Delta Live Tables, or Spark Structured Streaming).
- Experience with AI/ML pipelines or building data products that support ML workloads.
- Azure certifications (Azure Fundamentals, Data Engineer Associate) or active pursuit thereof.
- Knowledge of data privacy concepts (GDPR, CCPA) and HR data handling considerations.

Compensation Range: $45–$50 per hour
Full‑time, regular employees accrue at least 10 days of paid vacation per year, 6 days of paid sick leave, 10 paid holidays, and paid bereavement leave.
