The OpportunityOur Connectivity Engineering team is responsible for building and scaling the invisible infrastructure that powers our autonomous fleets. We design, optimize, and maintain the critical data-paths that allow our DFR (Drone as First Responder) solutions to stream real-time, high-definition video and telemetry across complex environments seamlessly.
We are seeking a Wireless Software Engineer with a focus on Wi‑Fi technology to enhance our integrated connectivity solutions for NLOS (Non‑Line‑of‑Sight) for terrestrial and aerial communication. In this role, you will take ownership of the Wi‑Fi stack, integrating firmware and RF capabilities to optimize performance. You will lead unit testing for the integration process and develop user‑space and driver features to achieve our connectivity goals.
In this role, you will work closely with RF, systems, device software, and cloud engineering teams to design and refine cutting‑edge solutions.
The Skillset- Bachelor degree in computer science (or related field) or higher
- Experience in C, C++ and Python is required
- Effective communication skills (verbal, written and presentation)
- Excellent teamwork skills with proven ability to work with a cross‑functional team and drive for timely project success
Nice to have:
- 3-5 years hands on experience in user space and kernel driver in 802.11 recent standards
- Familiarity with Qualcomm WiFi Networking code base and software release
- Knowledge in other wireless standards mostly 3
GPP or CV2X - Knowledge and experience with commercial connectivity devices to include Mobile and IoT devices
- Experience with wireless products and general software stack of these products
- Familiarity with databricks, Snowflakes or similar database software
This position requires candidates to work on a hybrid remote basis in our Atlanta, GA based engineering center. Given this requirement, we are only able to consider candidates who are local or willing to relocate to the metro Atlanta area.

The First 30 Days
- Learn about Flock products and how to use them in the lab.
- Integrating an off the shelf radio into our drone‑web system
The First 60 Days
- Complete the extraction of radio and link statistics and the ability to store them on an agreed upon database.
- Architecture of multi‑link operation for cellular operation.
90 Days & Beyond
- Complete an initial design of rate adaptation for cellular operation and explore real life performance.
