E-logic is seeking a Lead Architect / Senior Software Developer to drive the ongoing modernization, refactoring, and technical expansion of Secure HIV-TRACE program from Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), a mission-critical bioinformatics platform hosted in the CDC cloud environment. In this role, you will lead the architectural evolution of the software base--transitioning legacy code toward a modular, high-performance architecture--while developing secure RESTful APIs to integrate advanced analytical tools like Power BI and Tableau.
Key Responsibilities- Lead architectural design, system refactoring, and transition toward a modular, scalable software architecture.
- Develop high-performance back-end and front-end solutions using Python, C++, and JavaScript (React.js, Node.js).
- Design and implement secure RESTful APIs to integrate with external analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Collaborate with cloud engineers and bioinformatics specialists to optimize application performance.
- Demonstrated expertise in Python, C++, and JavaScript frameworks (React.js, Node.js).
- Extensive experience architecting and deploying applications using AWS cloud services (EC2, S3, RDS, Parallel Cluster).
- Proven track record in legacy code refactoring and microservices/modular architecture.
- Prior experience in bioinformatics, molecular epidemiology, or scientific data processing is highly desirable.
This role is part of a proposal for Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Hiring is contingent upon the selection of the consultant. Selected candidates will be included in the proposal and must authorize the use of their resume for submission.
