Overview
The Junior Full Stack Developer role provides full stack development support to an agile team that builds operational dashboards for a federal government health care organization. The team continuously develops features to enhance skills and capabilities.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with senior developers, product owners, and Dev Ops engineers to design, develop, test, and deploy scalable applications on cloud infrastructure.
- Develop responsive and interactive user interfaces using Angular and React.
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python.
- Design, implement, and integrate REST APIs with frontend applications and third-party services.
- Deploy, configure, and maintain applications on AWS cloud services.
- Configure and manage Nginx as a web server and reverse proxy (or have experience with similar technologies like Tomcat or Apache).
- Work in Linux environments for application deployment, troubleshooting, and automation.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following coding standards.
- Participate in code reviews, debugging, testing, and performance optimization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Troubleshoot production issues and assist in maintaining application availability.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 1–2 years of experience in full-stack web development with hands-on experience building and maintaining web applications using modern frontend and backend technologies.
- Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/Type Script.
- Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar).
- Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Knowledge of automated testing frameworks and test-driven development (TDD).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins) and Dev Ops practices.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or Cloud Formation).
- Agile-oriented approach to engineering and operations, with ability to work in a flat organization and navigate ambiguity.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and own projects and initiatives.
- Ability to independently research, evaluate, and recommend solutions for continuous improvement, including new frameworks and infrastructure requirements.
- Willingness to test and implement new technologies and frameworks outside your comfort zone.
- Passion for building scalable, highly available software with a proactive approach to automation, issue detection, and problem resolution.
- Embraces a continuous improvement mindset: fail fast, learn fast, and improve fast.
Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States as a U.S. Perm Resident or U.S. Citizen.

Salary range: $80,000 – $100,000. The actual salary is determined by experience, education, skills, and market factors.
