Data Engineer

Apply now for the position of Data Engineer, and you will help deliver reliable and scalable data solutions that enable oncology care providers, hospitals, and universities to make data-driven decisions. This role sits within the Data Reliability Engineering (DRE) team and reports to the Senior Engineering Manager. The position plays a key role in ensuring data quality, system reliability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement of analytics and cloud-based solutions supporting ARIA CORE Insights.

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and analytics solutions that support oncology operational insights and reporting.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud‑based data platforms to ensure reliability, performance, and data integrity.
• Investigate technical issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver timely resolutions.
• Contribute to automation initiatives and process improvements that enhance scalability, efficiency, and operational excellence.
• Work closely with Product Managers, Data Engineers, Analytics teams, and customer‑facing teams to translate business requirements into actionable data solutions.
• Serve as a customer‑facing liaison to address problems and identify solutions.
• Validate deployments, system changes, and upgrades to ensure stable and reliable operations.

• 0‑2 years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, analytics, or technical support.
• Programming experience with Java and/or Python, SQL, relational databases, and cloud technologies.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.

• Knowledge of software development fundamentals and data engineering concepts.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases; exposure to data warehousing technologies, hands‑on Snowflake is a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and modern observability tools for monitoring and troubleshooting distributed systems.
• Exposure to data visualization and reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Understanding of ETL processes, data quality, and scalable data architectures.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across technical and non‑technical teams.
• Exposure to AI‑assisted development tools such as Git Hub Copilot and modern development techniques such as vibe coding, spec‑driven development to support software development, data analysis, and automation initiatives.
• Domain knowledge in healthcare and oncology data is desirable.

Base pay range: $72,860 - $100,188. Factors such as geography, skills, education, experience and other qualifications influence the starting pay.
