Job Description :

• Configure and support SOLR Platform implementation, support business users in fine-tuning the existing implementation and maintaining rules.
• Analyze new requirements, assess business impact, prioritize work, and estimate effort.
• Prepare low-level and high-level design documents or technical specifications.
• Code and test application components (unit and system test).

• Minimum 3 years of SOLR search engine platform experience; total 6+ years of IT experience.
• Experience in developing and supporting applications on SOLR, including platform and engine configuration.
• Experience configuring and maintaining SOLR.
• Programming experience in Java and PERL.
• Experience integrating SOLR with eCommerce platforms such as IBM WCS or Java-based applications.
• Implementation and support experience.
• Experience with Endeca (added advantage).
• Good knowledge of eCommerce technology and architecture.
• Basic understanding of UML, XML, and Web Services.
• Experience in retail domain (added advantage).
• Ability to take business requirements and develop functional design and assist in technical design.
• Ability to work with remote teams and manage project scope.
• Ability to ensure quality of the delivered components.
• Experience in onshore/offshore team management, capacity planning, and offshore coordination for defect/BR construction and testing.
