Job Description - Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)
Overview:We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our team. This role requires a strong balance of manual testing expertise and advanced test automation capabilities, with a focus on validating applications built on .NET Framework and .NET Core platforms.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter, quick learner, and adaptable contributor who demonstrates ownership, continuously seeks improvement, and is open to expanding into Java-based application testing as part of evolving technology needs.
Day to Day job Duties: (what this person will do on a daily/weekly basis)- Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases to ensure high-quality software delivery.
- Build and maintain scalable automation frameworks for UI, API, and integration testing.
- Validate application functionality against business and functional requirements.
- Collaborate with development, product, and QA teams to refine acceptance criteria and prevent defects early in the lifecycle.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and fast feedback loops.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing across multiple environments.
- Analyze test results, troubleshoot defects, and ensure proper documentation and traceability.
- Contribute to test planning, test data management, and release validation activities.
- Continuously improve testing strategies, tools, and processes for better coverage and efficiency.

- Minimum 4+ years of experience in manual and automation testing.
- Minimum 4+ years of Strong experience testing applications built on .NET Framework and .NET Core platforms.
- Minimum 4+ years of Hands-on experience developing test automation using C# and modern frameworks such as NUnit, xUnit, Selenium, and Playwright.
- Minimum 4+ years of Experience performing API testing for REST and SOAP services using tools such as Postman and Rest Sharp.
- Minimum 4+ years of Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing and rapid feedback.
- Minimum 4+ years of Strong understanding of functional, integration, and regression testing practices.
- Minimum 4+ years of Strong knowledge of test case design, test execution, defect management, documentation, and traceability.
- Minimum 4+ years of Proficiency with Git-based version control systems.
- Go-getter attitude with strong ownership and accountability.
- Proven ability to learn quickly and adapt to evolving technologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to high-performing teams.

Travel: As required by project and business needs.
Degree: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
Nice to Have; (But not a must)- Experience with data migration testing, including ETL validation, data reconciliation, and source-to-target comparisons.
- Exposure to event-driven or microservices architectures.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Experience or strong interest in Java-based testing frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG, and Rest Assured.
- Experience in performance or load testing.
- Knowledge of contract testing and API validation strategies.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery models.
