• Minimum 6 years of experience with strong 3+ years of experience on Ruby on Rails application development

• Experience working with, or an interest in Agile Methodologies, such as Extreme Programming (XP) and Scrum

• Knowledge of software best practices, like Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Continuous Integration (CI)

• Deeper understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application and cloud-based scale-out architecture

• Expertise with databases, like MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, No

SQL, etc

• Strong communication and client-facing skills with the ability to work in a consulting environment is essential

• Hands-on experience in analysis, design, coding, and implementation of complex, custom-built applications

• Should be competent in providing multiple solutions for a given technical problem along with recommendation of the better technology solution

• Continuously improve the performance and scalability of the code base

• Should be competent in estimation and planning efforts for the sprint and project

• Should have strong technical decision-making capabilities.
