The QA Automation Engineer will be responsible for designing, building, and enhancing automation frameworks for enterprise applications using Java and modern testing tools. The role will initially involve manual testing followed by automation implementation and will require the ability to develop automation frameworks from scratch as well as enhance existing frameworks. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in test automation, Selenium, JUnit, Mockito, REST API automation, and manual testing, with exposure to on-premise applications and AI-driven testing strategies considered an advantage.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for enterprise applications.
- Build automation frameworks from scratch for new services and enhance existing automation frameworks.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Java, Selenium, JUnit, Mockito, and other applicable automation tools.
- Perform manual testing initially to understand application functionality, requirements, and test scenarios.
- Automate functional and regression test scenarios based on identified testing requirements.
- Develop and execute REST API automation tests.
- Perform functional, integration, and regression testing across enterprise applications.
- Identify, document, and track defects and collaborate with development teams for resolution.
- Analyze test results and troubleshoot automation failures.
- Contribute to improving test coverage, automation efficiency, and overall software quality.
- Support testing activities for on-premise applications.
- Collaborate with development, QA, and other cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Explore and contribute to the adoption of AI-driven testing strategies and modern testing practices.
- Perform other testing-related duties as assigned.
- Strong experience in test automation.
- Strong programming experience with Java.
- Experience with Selenium.
- Experience with JUnit and Mockito.
- Strong experience with REST API automation.
- Experience with manual testing.
- Experience with any automation framework is acceptable, provided the candidate has solid hands-on automation expertise.
- Ability to build automation frameworks from scratch for new services.
- Experience enhancing and maintaining existing automation frameworks.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and automation best practices.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with development and QA teams.
- Exposure to AI-driven testing strategies.
- Experience with additional automation frameworks and testing tools.
- Experience with enterprise application testing and complex system integrations.
