Manager, Application Developement

Cargill seeks a Manager, Application Development to lead design, delivery, and support of critical manufacturing applications. In this role, you will guide a development team building secure, scalable solutions that optimize plant, supply chain, and quality operations. You will partner with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business needs into robust architectures, drive SDLC best practices, and ensure high performance, reliability, and data integrity.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design, development, and maintenance of manufacturing applications supporting plant and supply chain operations
• Collaborate with product owners, engineers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Manage and mentor a team of developers, setting standards for code quality, testing, and documentation
• Oversee application architecture, integrations, and performance to ensure reliability and security
• Implement SDLC best practices including CI/CD, version control, and automated testing
• Coordinate vendor and third-party system integrations where required
• Monitor production systems, troubleshoot issues, and drive root-cause analysis and continuous improvement
• Ensure compliance with Cargill security, safety, and data governance policies
