Senior Service Now Developer

Duration: 5-Month Contract

We are seeking a Senior Service Now Developer to join our team on a 5-month contract. This is a highly hands-on role for a senior-level Service Now expert responsible for configuring, customizing, developing, and extending the Service Now platform to support evolving business needs. The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements, develop solutions, maintain existing applications, and deliver new functionality through a formalized Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

This role will also contribute to mature development and release practices and help strengthen CI/CD processes across the Service Now environment.

• Design, develop, configure, and implement custom Service Now applications, workflows, and solutions.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical specifications.
• Configure and customize existing Service Now modules to improve functionality and efficiency.
• Develop and maintain integrations between Service Now and third-party applications using Integration Hub and REST APIs.
• Develop secure, high-quality, well-documented Service Now code and configurations.
• Perform application testing and troubleshooting to ensure functionality, reliability, and performance.
• Maintain and enhance existing Service Now solutions, including:
  • Business Rules
  • UI Policies
  • Client Scripts
  • ACLs
  • Workflows
  • Dashboards and Reporting
  • Data Imports
  • Service Catalog
• Support Service Now development and releases within a formal SDLC.
• Contribute to the development and maturity of CI/CD pipelines and release processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues within the Service Now platform.
• Stay current with new Service Now features, functionality, and development best practices.
• Provide technical support, training, and mentorship to end users and junior team members.
• Produce clear and concise technical documentation and release notes.

• 5+ years of Service Now development experience.
• Strong understanding of the Service Now platform, including Service Now Development Studio.
• Strong scripting experience with Glide Script and UI Scripts.
• Experience with Service Now modules such as:
  • Incident Management
  • Change Management
  • Problem Management
  • Integration Hub
• Strong experience with Service Catalog.
• Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Proven experience developing integrations using Integration Hub.
• Experience with REST APIs.
• Strong understanding and hands-on experience with SDLC.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Certified Service Now Administrator required.

• 1+ year of experience working in a data center environment or other critical process environment.
• Experience with additional Service Now modules, including:
  • Customer Experience
  • ITOM
  • CMDB
  • Security Operations
  • Customer Service Management (CSM)
• ITIL v3/v4 certification
