Responsible for providing supervision to elementary students during lunch period. This position reports to the Principal and is part-time, typically 2‑3 hours per day.

• Establish acceptable standards of behavior in the cafeteria; supervise students entering and leaving the cafeteria and assist students with the seating process; supervise social behavior of students.
• Enforce cafeteria procedures and rules.
• Maintain an orderly, clean, and appetizing environment for students to eat lunch (e.g., wiping off tables).
• Report inappropriate student behavior to the appropriate personnel.
• Perform all other duties, as assigned and required, to perform the above services.

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior experience working in a school cafeteria preferred.
• Light independent judgment is necessary. Decisions made on an as-needed basis to establish order in the cafeteria.
• Requires regular contact with internal and external school personnel of decision‑making responsibility to discuss issues of moderate importance. Must be able to work with students in a congenial and nurturing manner.
• Great communication and interpersonal skills required.
• School setting; primarily cafeteria.
• Light duty – standing in the cafeteria most of the time, occasionally sitting, standing, or stooping. Light lifting or carrying 20 lbs. or less.

  This is a 180‑day part‑time position that pays one starting salary.
