OverviewDelivers material to jobsites or other locations.
Responsibilities- Responsible for inspecting trucks, trailers, and loads prior to delivery.
- Notifies the manager if the inspection does not check out on a vehicle.
- Assists with loading material for delivery.
- Delivers material to job sites in a timely manner.
- Maintains fuel and daily log books.
- Comply with DOT regulations as well as company policies and procedures.
- Maneuver trucks into loading and unloading positions on jobsites.
- Collect and verify delivery instructions daily.
- Coordinate with project teams on job sites.
- Assists with rigging and unloading equipment on jobsites.
- Other duties as required.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Three years’ experience as a commercial driver
- CDL Class A license
- Clean MVR
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule and overtime as needed
- Basic computer/technology knowledge
- Good knowledge of the Atlanta and/or Charlotte area
- Experience in the construction industry
- Five years’ experience as a commercial driver for a construction company
- Work involves exposure to elements, such as hot/cold temperatures, dirt, dust, and/or loud noises.
- Work environment involves exposure to construction and warehouse hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
- Moderate physical effort. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 50 pounds and extensive sitting. Some walking and standing.
