Position Summary:

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Air & Ocean Export Specialist to join their Atlanta operations team. This role will focus on managing export shipments from origin to departure, ensuring compliance with international regulations while maintaining a high standard of customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage full-cycle export shipments across both air and ocean freight
Coordinate bookings with airlines and ocean carriers
Prepare and review export documentation including AWBs, BOLs, and commercial invoices
Ensure compliance with U.S. export regulations and international shipping standards
Complete AES filings accurately and in a timely manner
Act as the main point of contact for customers, overseas agents, and carriers
Track shipments and provide consistent, proactive updates
Troubleshoot and resolve any operational issues or delays
Maintain accurate shipment records within internal systems

Requirements:

2+ years of experience in export freight forwarding (air and/or ocean)
Strong understanding of export processes and documentation
Experience with AES filings and U.S. compliance regulations
Ability to manage multiple shipments in a fast-paced environment
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Confident communication skills across all levels
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and freight systems

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working within a global freight forwarder or logistics provider
Knowledge of carrier booking platforms and rate structures
Experience handling time-sensitive or high-value cargo
Bilingual skills are advantageous
