Position Summary
Responsible for coordinating import and export operations to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective transportation while meeting customer delivery requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Logistics Coordination
- Research and plan optimal transportation routes based on shipment requirements.
- Coordinate domestic and international shipments, including import/export documentation.
- Arrange packaging and transportation according to customer specifications and shipment characteristics.
- Communicate with carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other third-party vendors.
- Monitor shipment status and provide updates to customers.
- Prepare and manage shipping documents and customs-related paperwork.
- Process freight payments and related charges.
- Prepare customer quotations and ensure competitive pricing through vendor negotiations.
- Issue invoices and maintain accurate shipping records.
- Assist customers with shipment inquiries, claims, and issue resolution.
- Update and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Maintain accurate records and organized documentation.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external business partners.
- Support special projects and additional duties as assigned.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and safety procedures.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- At least 1 year of experience in logistics, transportation, import/export, customer service, or a related field preferred.
- Experience with shipping documentation and coordination is a plus.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
