Ultimate Staffing is partnering with a leading international freight forwarder to hire an experienced Import Operations Coordinator. - Opportunity to own import files end-to-end and build customer relationships
- Manage import shipments from arrival to final delivery (A-Z)
- Coordinate with customs brokers, steamship lines, airlines, and trucking companies
- Prepare and review import documentation (B/Ls, customs paperwork, delivery orders)
- Track shipments, perform traces, and proactively resolve delays or issues
- Generate delivery orders and ensure timely freight movement
- Handle billing, invoicing, and collections for import files
- Communicate professionally with customers, carriers, and internal teams
- Ensure compliance with customs regulations and company SOPs
- 4+ years of freight forwarding experience with a focus on imports
- Strong understanding of import processes, customs clearance, and documentation
- Experience working with international carriers and routing
- Ability to manage multiple shipments in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Cargowise (required) or similar TMS experience
- Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, and Word
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive problem solver
- You take pride in owning import files end-to-end
- You understand how to navigate global logistics challenges and delays
- You're driven to deliver accurate, timely, and compliant shipments
- You enjoy building strong relationships with clients and global partners
- Ability to pass background screening (C-TPAT, TSA)
