Hire Art is helping an on-demand, autonomous ride-hailing company find a Logistics Driver - Flatbed Tow Operator (Class
C) to safely recover, transport, and stage company vehicles throughout the company network.
We're looking for someone with a valid Class C driver's license and professional flatbed towing experience. A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is preferred but not required. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, mechanically inclined, customer service-oriented, and comfortable performing vehicle recovery operations in dynamic roadside and operational environments while maintaining compliance with DOT regulations and company safety standards.
As a Logistics Driver, You'll- Safely perform vehicle recovery, transport, and staging operations on public roads and designated operational sites.
- Operate flatbed recovery equipment, including winching, vehicle loading and unloading, and proper vehicle securement procedures.
- Transport vehicles with combined gross vehicle weights ranging from 10,001 pounds up to 26,000 pounds.
- Perform pre-trip, post-trip, and daily inspections of vehicles, trailers, and recovery equipment.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable DOT regulations, including Hours of Service (HOS) requirements and required documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, logistics coordinators, and field operations teams regarding recovery status, delays, and operational needs.
- Maintain strong situational awareness while performing roadside recovery operations and working around traffic and active operational environments.
- Maintain the cleanliness, operational readiness, and basic servicing of assigned recovery vehicles and equipment, including refueling, fluid checks, tire pressure inspections, and reporting maintenance concerns.
- Maintain accurate driving, delivery, and inspection logs.
- Collaborate with logistics and cross-functional teams to support operational readiness and deliver an excellent customer experience.
- A valid Class C driver's license is required; a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is preferred but not required
- Ability to safely operate large recovery vehicles with strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Ability to perform vehicle recovery operations using flatbed towing equipment and proper vehicle securement procedures
- Meet DOT medical and physical requirements, including maintaining a valid Medical Examiner Certificate (MEC), as required
- Must pass a background check and drug screening
- Clean driving record with no major moving violations
- Physical ability to frequently enter and exit the tow truck and lift up to 35 pounds
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing operational priorities
- Flexibility to work varying schedules, including overtime or emergency recovery support as needed
- A high school diploma or GED
- 4+ years of professional flatbed towing and vehicle recovery experience
- Experience operating rollback or flatbed tow trucks, including Dodge Ram 3500 platforms

This is a full-time, ongoing contract position staffed via Hire Art. It will be onsite and available to candidates who are local to the Atlanta, GA area.
