We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our operations team. our fleet, drivers and clients.
As a Dispatcher, you will play a critical role in overseeing the daily scheduling and operations of our fleet, ensuring efficiency, on-time performance, and excellent customer service. You will serve as the key link between drivers, customers, and management, handling real-time logistics, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring adherence to company policies and safety regulations.
Primary Responsibilities/Essential DutiesThese include, but are not limited to the following:
Responsibilities- Direct and monitor daily assignments; schedules drivers and assigns vehicles to ensure daily coverage of all routes, trips, and charter work.
- Ensure direct and indirect daily activities of drivers are assigned and accomplished on-time.
- Communicate all relevant details of driving assignments to drivers to ensure proper execution.
- Assist drivers with route directions and direct them to perform special services when required.
- Notify customers of all changes in route assignments, emergency situations, accidents, breakdowns or any other event that will disrupt service.
- Maintains route documentation and records (relevant contract requirements, school information, student data, route changes, relevant maps, vehicle details, bus assignments, driver details) for the purpose of providing accurate and reliable information to customers and complying with district and state requirements.
- Coordinates vehicle service and mechanical repairs with Maintenance Supervisor to ensure uninterrupted service delivery.
- Maintains high compliance to dispatch standard operating procedures.
- Handles customer concerns and requests for information in an expeditious and professional manner.
- Escalate unresolved issues to management as appropriate.
- 2 years of customer service, dispatch, or scheduling experience preferred.
- CDL with Passenger Endorsement required.
- Ability to work independently.
- Excellent phone demeanor and customer service skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with drivers, customers, and management.
- Problem‑Solving Abilities:
Quick thinker with the ability to make real-time decisions under pressure. - Customer Service Focus:
Ability to maintain professionalism and composure in high‑pressure situations. - Attention to Detail:
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi‑task and prioritize effectively. - Experience with Trapeze Pass preferred.
- MS Office knowledge and other Windows‑based computer programs.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
