We are hiring a Logistics Driver – Flatbed Tow Operator (Class
C) to support a leading autonomous ride-hailing company. In this role, you will safely recover, transport, stage, and relocate company vehicles while ensuring compliance with DOT regulations and maintaining the highest safety standards.
This opportunity is ideal for an experienced flatbed tow operator who is safety-focused, mechanically inclined, and enjoys working in a fast-paced fleet logistics environment.
Available Shifts- Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM-3:30 PM
- Monday-Friday | 3:00 PM-11:30 PM
Vehicle Recovery & Transportation
- Safely operate a flatbed tow truck to recover, transport, stage, and relocate company vehicles.
- Perform vehicle recovery operations on public roads, parking structures, loading docks, and operational sites.
- Load, secure, transport, and unload vehicles using industry-standard recovery procedures.
- Operate recovery equipment, including winches, soft straps, tie-downs, snatch blocks, vehicle skates, and wheel securement systems.
- Safely transport vehicles with combined gross vehicle weights ranging from 10, lbs.
- Perform pre-trip, post-trip, and daily inspections of tow trucks, trailers, and recovery equipment.
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, Hours of Service (HOS), inspection requirements, and company safety policies.
- Maintain situational awareness while working in roadside, traffic, and active operational environments.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, logistics coordinators, and operations teams regarding recovery status, incidents, and delays.
- Maintain assigned tow trucks and recovery equipment in clean, safe, and operational condition.
- Perform basic servicing, including refueling, fluid checks, tire pressure inspections, and reporting maintenance concerns.
- Complete accurate driving logs, inspection reports, and operational documentation.
- Support fleet readiness and assist cross-functional logistics teams as needed.
- Valid Class C Driver’s License required (CDL preferred but not required).
- Medical Examiner Certificate (MEC) required.
- Consent Tow certification (where applicable).
- Clean driving record with no major violations.
- 4-6 years of professional flatbed towing and vehicle recovery experience preferred.
- Experience operating rollback or flatbed tow trucks.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle recovery procedures, winching, securement, and towing safety.
- Ability to safely operate commercial vehicles with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to meet applicable DOT medical and physical requirements.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and repeatedly enter and exit the vehicle throughout the shift.
- Strong communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Flexible schedule with availability for overtime or emergency recovery assignments.
- Must successfully pass background screening and drug testing.
