Job Title
Rail Operations Dispatcher
Job DescriptionThis posting is to fill the current vacancy and to establish an eligibility list for future vacancies that may occur in the next six months.
Education and/or
Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent. Three years experience in transportation operations. Familiarity with route/driver assignments is desirable. Must possess excellent computer skills in Microsoft applications. Must be able to successfully complete dispatch training.
Interview Selection Process:
The selection process may include one or more components to demonstrate applicants' knowledge, skills and abilities in job related areas. These may include exercises such as practical demonstrations, written communications, oral interviews and/or competency assessments.
Summary:
Maintains personnel/pay records and assigns runs for rail operators, ensuring a proper number is available to maintain revenue service. Demonstrated dependability through attendance required, checks Operators for fitness for duty.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Makes work assignments to operators.
Special Requirements:
* Must pass physical examination, including drug and alcohol screen.
* Must successfully pass background investigation by Georgia Crime Information Center.
