Team Lead – Ocean Import

• Supervise and lead a team of ocean import coordinators, providing guidance and support as needed
• Coordinate with carriers, vendors, and customers to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods
• Maintain accurate and timely records and ensure compliance with all import regulations and company policies
• Monitor and ensure the accuracy of invoices and billing statements
• Resolve import-process issues, including customs clearance issues, vendor delays, or damaged goods
• Collaborate with customer service and sales teams to ensure a seamless customer experience
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices
• Manage a team of ocean import coordinators

• At least 5 years of experience in ocean import operations, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
• Familiarity with import regulations, customs clearance procedures, and industry best practices
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Proficient in computer software programs related to logistics and supply chain management
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Fluency in English is required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with logistics software and systems is required
• Experience with leading ocean cargo logistics software and systems
• Familiarity with ocean freight regulations, customs requirements, and import controls
• Knowledge of shipping routes and schedules

Demonstrates extensive experience in ocean import operations, including leadership in managing teams and ensuring compliance with import regulations. Proficient in logistics software and systems, with strong problem-solving and organizational skills to enhance operational efficiency.
