As a Yard Jockey, you’ll help ensure freight is delivered safely and efficiently by operating within yard and transportation requirements, securing loads properly, and maintaining accurate trip records. You’ll also support safety by running required checks, responding to issues professionally, and using transportation technology like GPS and transportation management software.

Shift variety (specific shift start/end times were not provided in the job details)

• Deliver freight safely and efficiently
• Secure freight before leaving
• Inspect the vehicle before each trip
• Log all trip details, including time spent driving, breaks, mileage, and expenses
• Obey all applicable traffic laws while driving
• Perform vehicle maintenance tasks as needed
• Report any issues with freight, vehicle, and/or travel

• CDL Class A
• Clean MVR with no violations or citations (personal or commercial)
• Must have an on-hand copy of MVR dating back 3 years
• Valid DOT medical card
• Clean Clearinghouse record
• Minimum 2 years of OTR driving experience
• Familiarity with trucking regulations and laws
• Strong driving skills, alertness, and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills
• Comfortable using technology such as GPS and transportation management software
