This position involves manual and clerical work in a warehouse or storeroom. Responsibilities include receiving, storing, issuing, delivering, and shipping a wide variety of supplies; maintaining routine records; performing custodial tasks; rearranging storage space; participating in inventory counts; wrapping and packaging items; and requisitioning standard supply items.
Responsibilities- Issue Materials, Supplies and Equipment
:
Receive and check incoming shipments against purchase orders, unpack, label, store, and issue items upon authorized request. - Load and Unload Incoming Materials
:
Operate material handling equipment such as hand trucks, pallet jacks, or carts, and operate motor vehicles for transport and distribution. - Organization and Cleanliness of Warehouse/Storage Areas
:
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the storeroom or warehouse and complete periodic or annual physical inventories. - Perform Routine Clerical Duties
:
Prepare and complete requisitions, issue slips, and inventory documentation, report shortages or discrepancies, maintain accurate stock records, and assist in annual inventory updates. - Other Related Duties
:
Assist in transporting and setting up equipment for event setups, assist with move requests, and provide general custodial services including pressure washing and flood response.
- High School diploma or GED from a recognized state or federal accredited organization.
- One (1) year of related storeroom, warehouse, or inventory experience.
Knowledge: Standard storeroom methods and procedures; basic computer literacy (data entry, inventory systems, email).
Skills: Ability to count, sort, and verify materials; ability to maintain accurate records; ability to follow written and verbal instructions; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; ability to work effectively in a team and provide good customer service to campus or departmental users.
Shift / Salary / BenefitsShift: Days Monday - Friday.
Pay Band: 1.
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications within the established range (generally minimum to midpoint) of the position.
Recruitment Period: Until Filled.
