Overview
Graham Packaging Company is looking for an Inventory Control Coordinator based in York, PA. This opening is for Day Shift (1st Shift), operating 6:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., Monday–Friday.
Weekly pay starting at $27.10 per hour.

- Understands and enforces safety, health, quality GMP and company policies, procedures, and recognized practices.
- Ensures all loads pick up on time to meet delivery.
- Notifies Supervisor, Shipping Clerk, or Warehouse Manager of any shipping issues.
- Records accurate information on BOL while maintaining integrity of control numbers.
- Ensures shipment of correct product, completes verification with loader check sheet.
- Provides tally load sheets for all outbound loads.
- Loads carriers FCFS at the warehouse; moves loads ahead if at risk of being late.
- Performs inspection of all trailers for safety and cleanliness.
- Manages live loads within allotted time; notifies if detention occurs.
- Receives and verifies quantities of inbound packages and shipments.
- Completes incoming tally sheet for raw materials, dunnage, preforms, labels, etc., attaching to BOL.
- Completes receiving reports for all inventory items and return shipments.
- Pursues disposition of HFI and obsolete inventories to maximize plant space.
- Ensures FIFO management of inventory; completes weekly FIFO inventory sheets and end‑row FIFO tags.
- Maintains warehouse shipping logs.
- Reports and records movements of non‑conforming product back to plant, issuing temporary HFI tags; notifies QA or Supervisor.
- Coordinates month‑end inventory counts and recounts.
- Manages pallet storage, rebuild, return, and scrap programs.
- Leads efficient use of tow motor drivers and the warehouse team to follow standards.
- Consistently follows and trains plant policies and procedures while cross‑training EE’s.
- Limited travel may be required.
- Minimum of 6 months related experience preferred; prior leadership experience preferred.
- Ability to maintain regular, predictable, and punctual attendance.
- Computer usage and typing skills required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to communicate with internal and external customers.
- Can work under pressure, meet deadlines, maintain positive attitude and exemplary customer service.
- Works independently, carrying out assignments to completion within prescribed routines and practices.
- Communicates effectively: conveys facts clearly.
- Collaborates well: proactively contributes to group objectives, volunteers to help others.
The expected salary range is in accordance with legal mandates of certain U.S. jurisdictions. Final compensation is based on qualifications and experience.
