Operations Lead – Parcel Sortation

We are seeking a dependable and motivated Operations Lead – Parcel Sortation to oversee daily parcel operations in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This leadership role is responsible for monitoring the complete parcel lifecycle, including label creation, print-and-apply (Panda) sortation, staging, dock loading, and outbound shipment readiness. The ideal candidate has experience leading warehouse teams, maintaining operational efficiency, ensuring safety compliance, and driving continuous process improvements.

Key responsibilities include overseeing daily parcel sortation operations from label creation through outbound loading, monitoring Print-and-Apply (Panda) systems to ensure accurate labeling and package routing, conducting routine Gaylord audits to verify shipment accuracy, compliance, and outbound readiness, coordinating staging, scanning, and loading activities to meet carrier schedules and shipping deadlines, managing dock operations to ensure efficient freight flow and trailer utilization, monitoring parcel service health and reporting operational performance, productivity, and dock metrics to management, identifying workflow issues and partnering with maintenance or support teams to resolve equipment and operational concerns, enforcing company safety policies and coaching associates on safe work practices, holding team members accountable for meeting quality, productivity, and attendance expectations, identifying process improvement opportunities and assisting with implementing operational enhancements, and supporting leadership with daily warehouse operations and completing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications include being at least 18 years of age, having a high school diploma or GED, minimum of 2 years of warehouse, logistics, or distribution experience, previous experience in parcel sortation, fulfillment, shipping/receiving, or dock operations preferred, prior leadership or team lead experience highly preferred, working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word), strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks and lead teams in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Physical requirements include the ability to work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse, regularly lifting up to 50 pounds and frequently lifting up to 75 pounds, and the ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive movements throughout the shift.
