Freight Warehouse Associate | Atlanta, GA | $21.00 per hour pay
This is not a general warehouse position. The successful candidate must have previous experience working within a freight forwarding, logistics, cargo, or transportation environment and understand how freight is received, handled, stored, prepared, and dispatched as part of the international shipping process.
You will work closely with the warehouse and operations teams to ensure inbound and outbound freight is handled accurately, safely, and efficiently.

- Receive, unload, inspect, and process international freight shipments
- Load and unload air and ocean freight from trucks and containers
- Move and stage freight throughout the warehouse
- Verify shipment quantities, labels, dimensions, and paperwork
- Prepare freight for pickup, delivery, export, or consolidation
- Assist with palletizing, wrapping, labeling, and securing cargo
- Check freight for damage and report discrepancies or exceptions
- Coordinate with warehouse and freight forwarding operations teams
- Assist with cargo handling for import and export shipments
- Ensure freight is correctly identified and positioned for onward transportation
- Maintain accurate warehouse and shipment records
- Follow all company, warehouse, safety, and cargo-handling procedures
- Assist with general warehouse duties as required
- 2+ years of experience working within a freight forwarding or logistics environment
- Hands-on experience handling freight/cargo within a warehouse
- Understanding of international air and/or ocean freight operations
- Experience handling inbound and outbound shipments
- Familiarity with freight documentation, shipment references, labels, and cargo paperwork
- Experience working with freight forwarders, 3PLs, cargo facilities, or transportation companies
- Ability to identify different types of freight and understand basic shipment processes
- Strong attention to detail when checking cargo and documentation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced freight environment and meet shipment deadlines
