Job Description
The Studio Support Specialist is responsible for project builds and ongoing maintenance of our studios’ gaming floor environments.
Responsibilities- Build, install and maintain the studios and associated elements (gaming tables, cameras, microphones, cabling lights, decorative elements and studio floor infrastructure). Help establish and refine build processes, plan resources, meet deadlines.
- Be aware of and follow regulations (Gaming Regulations, Evolution Policies, OSHA compliance, etc.).
- Request, order, maintain and be responsible for assigned equipment, tools and materials.
- Participate in training activities and participate in new employees’ training.
- Prepare and provide occasional reports, provide needed information to team members and other departments.
- Perform other duties, as asked by the Team Lead and Manager, which are related to this position.
- Replace colleagues during their vacations, sick leave and other absences. Replacement takes place during normal working hours and it is not considered additional work.
- Secondary (higher, technical) education or equivalent experience.
- Experience using hand and power tools.
- Understanding of and ability to apply/interpret measurements and related tools.
- Experience working with assorted building materials (e.g., wood, metal, tile, plastic, carpet, etc.).
- Basic understanding of electricity and electrical wiring concepts.
- Ability to interpret and follow detailed written and verbal instruction.
- Basic computer skills (e.g., email, instant messaging, MS Office or similar apps). More advanced IT knowledge is greatly preferred.
- Basic knowledge of how Audio/Visual technology functions and willingness to learn more advanced aspects of A/V systems.
- Punctuality, reliability and experience working with a team.
- Willingness and ability to occasionally travel (within NA and abroad).
- Willingness to work overtime when required and to be available for emergency situations.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
This position requires:
- Close attention to detail in adhering to standards set out by the Technical Operations team.
- Observation of safety principles when working around power tools and electricity (OSHA).
- Availability for and participation related to occasional emergency support requests.
- Carrying of a company-provided phone as a direct and reliable means of contact.
- Ability to contribute extra hours outside of regular weekly working hours in order to deliver on tight deadlines (Overtime).
