Overview
Student Affairs is excited to begin the search for a TES Building Specialist! This position is responsible for performing a variety of custodial and facility upkeep duties. Key responsibilities include maintaining the cleanliness of lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and offices. Tasks include emptying trash, replacing liners, cleaning and sanitizing trash receptacles, and performing routine floor care, such as vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping.
This role is estimated at 20–30 hours per week

Temporary Employment Services (TES), a unit of the Auburn University Department of Human Resources, is an in-house support center established to meet the temporary employment needs of the university. TES provides qualified and dedicated temporary employees in a wide variety of occupations to meet the staffing needs throughout the campus. Temporary employees are hired for a variety of reasons with the most common being:
- Assistance in the place of a regular employee who is absent for a specified period of time
- Additional assistance during periods of abnormal or peak workloads
- Assistance with special projects
- Seasonal work
- Emergencies

Responsibilities- Performing general custodial duties, multiple levels of stairwells, and/or housekeeping duties at building facilities to accommodate event guests
- May operate support machinery, including service vehicles, lift devices, and various power and floor maintenance tools
- Assist in the organization and set-up of events including the set-up and breakdown of tables, chairs, audio-visual equipment, tents, and other specialized items
Expectations:
- Ability to read and write, follow instructions, and understand diagrams.
- Ability to work non-traditional hours between 6:00 am and 12:00 am.
