Tool and Die Maker Apprentice – 2nd Shift (2pm – 10:30pm)

• Read and interpret blueprints to repair and make new components.
• Work from verbal or written instructions.
• Weld, repair, and heat treat different materials including tool steels.
• Use precision measuring and gaging tools to perform required inspection.
• Tear down, repair, and reassemble tooling in the press and on the bench.
• Gain knowledge and experience of a skilled trades associate in the tool room by combining local college courses with daily on‑the‑job training.

• High School Diploma or GED
• Passing score in Shop Math and Mechanical Reasoning Test
