Facilities Maintenance Technician
Pro Resources is seeking a 1st Shift Facilities Maintenance Technician for a client in Auburn, IN. The Facilities Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining and repairing plant equipment and facilities, troubleshooting issues, completing preventative maintenance, and helping ensure a safe, clean, and properly functioning manufacturing environment. This position is ideal for a hands-on maintenance professional who enjoys troubleshooting problems, performing repairs, and keeping facility operations running efficiently.
Shift and Compensation
1st Shift: 6:00 AM–6:15 PM (3-2-2 schedule)
Compensation is from 52,000 USD to 72,800 USD per year
Job Duties
- Perform maintenance and repairs on a variety of plant equipment and facility-related systems in a safe, timely, and professional manner
- Troubleshoot equipment issues to identify root causes and complete necessary repairs
- Conduct daily walkthrough inspections of equipment and assigned areas
- Perform preventative maintenance during scheduled run-time and downtime periods
- Assist with troubleshooting production and facility-related issues as needed
- Follow maintenance instructions and priorities provided by the Maintenance Supervisor
- Document work through work orders and accurately track time and completed repairs
- Communicate equipment and maintenance issues to supervisors, staff, and operators through verbal and written updates
- Maintain clean, organized work areas, tools, and equipment
- Support a team-oriented maintenance environment
- Follow all safety procedures, including LOTO, Arc Flash, Confined Space, and Environmental policies
- Respond to internal and external maintenance requests in a timely manner
- Help identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and overall facility operations
Background Profile
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Associate degree in maintenance or a related technical field preferred
2+ years of industrial maintenance experience
Ability to troubleshoot both electrical and mechanical issues
Hands-on approach to troubleshooting and problem solving
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Valid driver's license required for business travel
Robotic programming knowledge preferred, but not required
PLC logic troubleshooting knowledge preferred, but not required
