Job Title: Maintenance Manager
Position SummarySaddleback Ski Operations is seeking an experienced and motivated Maintenance Manager to lead fleet, building and grounds property maintenance. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring all vehicles (including all terrain), public spaces, event facilities, and building systems are maintained to the highest standards of safety, appearance, and functionality.
The Maintenance Manager will oversee daily maintenance operations departments, manage preventive maintenance programs, coordinate repairs and capital projects, and ensure the property remains guest-ready year-round. During the off-season, this position is responsible for completing preventive maintenance, preparing the resort for a successful upcoming season, and overseeing department’s operating schedules, labor and budget preparations.
As Fleet Maintenance manages the preventative, routine, scheduled, and unscheduled maintenance of all vehicles and equipment for Saddleback Ski operations in a proactive, safe, and efficient manner; providing oversight of all maintenance and special projects as assigned by the Director of Operations; providing the quality and service required, and maintaining the standards set forth by Saddleback Ski Operations. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and successfully lead experienced supervisors enabling the highest levels of execution and job satisfaction while working toward excellent team cohesion and effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities- Manage, train, and supervise the property and vehicle maintenance supervisors.
- Develop, implement, and monitor preventive maintenance programs for public areas, equipment, vehicles (including all terrain), and building systems.
- Troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, carpentry, and general building maintenance issues.
- Conduct routine inspections of facilities, grounds, buildings, and equipment to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
- Manage and coordinate all required life safety inspections, elevator inspections, fire alarm inspections, sprinkler system inspections, and other state, local, and regulatory compliance requirements.
