Position Summary

Exterior Services Technician – DOT Operator at Walmart is responsible for maintaining the grounds around the Auburn, ME store, operating equipment, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. The role is full‑time.

• Conduct grounds maintenance activities in parking lots, exterior buildings, and surrounding areas to uphold cleanliness standards.
• Operate specialized equipment and vehicles to complete tasks.
• Work with team members to manage all aspects of landscaping and exterior maintenance.
• Adhere to safety, security, and integrity protocols, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements at local, federal, and state levels.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations and guidelines.
• Evaluate landscaping needs and implement sustainable upgrades.

• Minimum age of 21 years.
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license for at least 3 years with a clean driving record.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Successful completion of a DOT physical and medical certification.
• Clean driving record with no DUI/DWI convictions or reckless driving involving alcohol or drugs within the last 3 years.
• No more than two moving violations in the last 3 years if driving a commercial motor vehicle.
• No serious traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years if operating a commercial motor vehicle.
• Two years of experience in the landscaping/gardening industry.

• Associate’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Maintenance, Construction Management, or related area.
• Experience in third‑party management.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Proficiency in Spanish.
• State or local licensing where required.

Hourly wage range: $19.00 – $35.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. The rate will equal or exceed the applicable minimum wage for the location. Additional premiums may apply for schedule, facility, season, or specific tasks.
