The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for performing daily maintenance tasks as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager. This role involves responding to basic service requests, assisting in apartment make‑readies, maintaining the exterior of the property, and ensuring clean and acceptable curb appeal at all times. The position also includes trash removal, light cleaning, and maintaining the property’s flowerbeds, plants, and grass areas while communicating effectively with the Maintenance Supervisor and adhering to all safety and compliance standards.
Responsibilities- Perform daily maintenance tasks and respond to service requests
- Assist in apartment make‑readies
- Maintain property exterior and common areas
- Pick up trash and ensure clean and acceptable curb appeal
- Use power blower and pressure washer for cleaning
- Maintain flowerbeds, plants, grass areas, and pool
- Communicate with the Maintenance Supervisor
- Ensure inventory of cleaning supplies
- Report issues and assist with posting notices
- Follow safety practices and participate in training
- Comply with health and safety regulations
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- A valid driver’s license may be required
- Previous experience in property maintenance or a related field preferred
- Experience with power tools and maintenance equipment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Knowledge of safety regulations and practices
- Ability to read, write, understand and communicate in English
Estimated Rate of Pay: $21.16 - $24.15 (non‑exempt). The pay range displayed for this position is determined by skills and experience required, location and job complexity. Potential job offers may vary based on the skills, education, and experience of the individual candidate. This range reflects base rate only and does not include allowances, perks, commissions, or bonuses applicable to this position (if any).
